The brief
A beachfront boutique resort in San Pedro with a great product and a quiet feed. Bookings leaned on OTAs, the content didn’t match the guest experience, and nobody on property had time to fix it.
The work
We started where we always start: on the property. Multi-day shoots covering the rooms, the water, the food, and the moments in between — then a monthly content system built from those shoots, with captions, calendars, posting, and community managed end to end. The resort’s only job was to keep being worth shooting.
The system
Every month: a planned grid mapped against seasonality and occupancy goals, short-form video from the shoot library, stories rhythm, and email sends that turn attention into stays. Every quarter: fresh capture trips so the library never goes stale.
The sister company
The excursions in this feed run through 501 Adventure Tours, the resort’s sister company: the reef, the caves, the ruins, the boat named Goose. We built 501’s Instagram and Facebook from zero and run them inside the same monthly system. This year that second brand has logged nearly 650,000 Instagram views, 98% of them organic, with 39,000 interactions and close to a hundred customer conversations started in the DMs, on about twelve dollars of paid spend. One shoot day on the water feeds two brands, and each one sells the other.
The results
The numbers above tell it: revenue doubled in year one, and the channels keep compounding. Three years in, 94% of Instagram views reach people who don’t yet follow the resort — new audience, month after month. The number that matters is still the one on the ledger.
The film
Playing in every room.
The film on the TV when guests arrive: the island's excursions with 501 Adventure Tours, above and below the water. Silent by design, made for the in-room screen.
In the feed
Cut for the phone.
Cut for the resort's channels: the 501 Adventure Tours excursions are the content.
The takeaway
A boutique resort doesn't need a bigger ad budget to grow: it needs content that makes the property impossible to scroll past, published consistently, and pointed at direct bookings. That's a system, and it compounds.
