Privacy policy

Short version: we collect what you send us on the contact form, we count visits without cookies, and we do not sell anything to anyone. The long version is below.

Who we are

Steel House Productions is a creative studio based in Avon Lake, Ohio, operating as Steel House. This policy covers steelhouseproductions.com. If you want to reach a human about anything here, write to tom@steelhouseproductions.com.

What we collect when you fill out the form

The project form asks for your name, email address, company or property, what you are looking to start with, the scope you have in mind, your timeline, how you found us, and whatever you write in the message field. You choose what to put in it. We use it to reply to you and to understand whether we are a fit for the work.

Form submissions are processed by Netlify, the service that hosts this site, and delivered to us by email. We keep the correspondence for as long as it is useful to the conversation, and longer if you become a client, because it becomes part of the project record.

What we collect when you just visit

We use Plausible Analytics to count visits. Plausible does not use cookies, does not follow you across other websites, and does not collect personal information. It tells us things like which pages get read and which sites send traffic. It cannot tell us who you are.

This site sets no cookies. There is no advertising pixel, no session tracking, and nothing stored on your device by us.

Other services this site touches

Loading a page here also makes requests to a few third parties, which as a technical necessity means they can see your IP address and browser:

  • Netlify serves the site and processes form submissions.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site is set in.
  • Cloudflare serves the animation library the site uses for scroll effects.
  • Plausible receives the anonymous page view described above.

Links out to Instagram, LinkedIn, or a client site take you to services with their own policies, and this one stops applying at that point.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. We do not add you to a mailing list because you filled out a contact form. We do not run behavioral advertising.

Your choices

Write to tom@steelhouseproductions.com and ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do it. Depending on where you live you may have a formal right to make that request, and either way the answer is the same.

Children

This site is for people doing business with a creative studio. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
