Brian Nagel  - Vice President  / Producer


Brian was born on the west side of Cleveland Ohio. He is the middle child of older brother Tom Nagel and his younger sister Katlyn. Brian grew up in the entertainment industry acting and modeling in Cleveland, OH. After High school he decided to attend Kent State University.  He majored in aviation/business, before pursuing his dreams in Los Angeles, CA. He has years of experience in the entertainment industry including marketing and also a strong business background. Brian is known for his strong work ethic and is highly motivated to succeed. He's actively self producing with Tom Nagel through their production company Steel House Productions, LLC. In his spare time he loves staying fit and being outdoors.

Tom Nagel - President / Director / Producer


Tom grew up on the west side of Cleveland, Ohio. He is an Actor, Director, and Producer, known for Man of Steel (2013), Relentless (2013), The Dead Matter (2010), and Pirates of Treasure Island (2006). Tom has been in and out of in the entertainment industry since he was a child. He started his career as a child actor and model. After high school Tom attended and graduating from a small film and television school in Ohio. With little work in Cleveland and after the tragedy of 911, Tom decided to make a life change and serve in the U.S. Navy. After leaving the U.S Navy he settled in Los Angeles to really pursue his film career. He landed several lead roles in films and worked behind the scenes to educate himself  as much as he could. He has now added directing and producing to his resume. Tom and his brother Brian Nagel co-founded the production company Steel House Productions LLC  officially in 2013. Tom is working producing and directing films through there production company as well as still acting in film and television.

Eric Erickson - Writer / Producer


A graduate of the University of Southern California, Eric began his writing career as a playwright. His play "Voices on the Wind" set the groundwork for his later work by weaving fact and fiction and using real life digital technology, including a recording of former governor Michael Dukakis created specifically for the production. Eric was the co-founder of the Inconceivable Theatre Company in Los Angeles.

Eric went on to report for the Roswell Daily Record, and then joined the Chicago Tribune's storied City News Service before going freelance,where his work has appeared in newspapers and magazines. His 2005 Chicago Sun-Times feature article “Over the Ocean, Under the Knife” was the culmination of travels to Malaysia and Thailand to investigate medical tourism. He has co-authored two books from Publications International’s Armchair Guide series; "The Civil War" and "Weird, Scary and Unusual.” He took a break from writing in 2004 to serve as the campaign manager for a U.S. Congressional candidate. In 2005 he was invited to teach English and writing at Hankook University in Seoul, South Korea. In 2006 he presented his academic paper “The Deluge Myths- Correlations, Separations and Oddities” at California State University- Fresno.

As a screenwriter, Eric has written the films “The Retrieval,” “Relentless,” and “The Hitman” and has produced and directed nearly two-dozen films and plays. Eric formed the multimedia studio Temple of the Cave, which created photography, audio and video productions.

Eric also works as an actor and photographer. He travelled with the award winning group the Gipsy Kings as tour photographer and his photography book “Atheist Bliss” was published in 2011.

Andrew Staton - Producer / Production Crew


Andrew obtained his BA in Theatre from Siena Heights University in 2003, along with other certificates of completion in the area of stage combat and film stunts. While at university, aside from performing in almost every show in some capacity, he also helped build them. Growing up in a carpenter's house, the trade skill necessary for building sets and creating props came almost naturally. Soon after graduating, Andrew moved to Chicago where he became involved with Ouroboros Theatre Company as an ensemble member and continued to perform as well as coordinate action for the stage and screen. In 2011, Andrew moved to Los Angeles and soon after his arrival, was fortunate enough make the acquaintance of Eric Erickson and in turn, Tom Nagel. Now, thanks to a love of story telling and an penchant for using action as a prominent plot device, Andrew is a part of the Steel House Production team acting as Stunt Coordinator whenever the need may arise and filling in wherever else that is helpful to bring a story to life.

Tom Downey - Production Designer


Tom is a seasoned actor with over twenty years experience on stage and in front of the camera. He has worked closely on past projects with friend and Director Tom Nagel as well as co-stars Amanda Barton and Jeff Denton. This Boston native is known for always bringing his A-game to set and is passionate about every role he plays. Upcoming releases for Tom include the horror comedy SORORITY PARTY MASSACRE as the hard boiled Detective Watts co-starring the beautiful and talented Amanda Barton as quirky and super-cute Deputy Lang. The film is being released by Anchor Bay and will premiere on the STARZ network on February 11th 2014. Tom is also the lead in the hilarious heist comedy RIVERS 9 with co-stars Jamie Kennedy, Ed O'Ross, C. Thomas Howell and Vinny Jones. Think Ocean's 11 in redneck heaven and get ready for a good old time! Tom most recently worked with Mr. Nagel on the horror thriller VOLCANO ZOMBIES with the magnificent Danny Trejo of MACHETE fame. It is a shoe-in for success with SHARKNADO fans. Tom is actively pursuing the producers path in Hollywood so stay tuned for upcoming projects with something sure to please everyone and leave you wanting more. Tom is grateful to have been a part of the initial shoot for THE RETRIEVAL and is excited to be a part of its evolution into a sci-fi action classic!

Ken Stachnik - Director of Photography / Photographer


Ken Stachnik is a director, screenwriter, cinematographer and photographer living and working in Los Angeles, CA.

Video Experience
Ken has worked on more than 60 film sets—everything from low-budget independent films to major studio projects for Universal, Bravo, The History Channel, Prevention.com and Men’s Health.com. Ken's experience includes directing, producing, screenwriting, gripping, gaffing, operating, DPing, ACing, ADing and PAing—meaning he's comfortable acting as a one-man shop, managing the film process from start to finish with his own blend of humor and professionalism.

Photography Experience
Ken prides himself on his organic, natural style that brings out the personality in his subjects.  His resume includes work with clients such as Men's Heath, Prevention, Chicago Athlete magazine, Valley Social magazine, Sophistikate, Chic Gems etc, Claudia Kleiner and Anna Fong.

Ryan Pilz - Production Designer


Ryan Pilz is an artist, a traveler and an all around fun, creative person. Ryan hails from Akron, Ohio just south of Cleveland.  Before college he joined the U.S. Navy, living in Japan for two years and then California for the latter half.  After four years in the military he enrolled at Kent State University.  As an undergrad, he majored in interior design, then switched to theatrical set design and fine art sculpture.  He was known in the programs for his abstract style and extreme attention to detail.  After college he took a hiatus from the arts to pursue travel and worked as a 1st mate in the Yachting industry.  He is now ambitiously pursuing a career in film and video production. He now has joined up with his cousins Tom and Brian Nagel at Steel House Productions, where he can utilize his artistic ability.  Ryan is known for his work as the Production Designer, as well as playing the role of Crowbar Clown, on the film ClownTown.
